ABOUT Assistant Professor Isabel L. Nunes

Isabel L. Nunes, Ph.D., is currently Professor at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the New University of Lisbon. She obtained her PhD in Industrial Engineering - Speciality in Human Factors/Ergonomics from the New University of Lisbon. She is a member of the Computational Intelligence Research Group integrated in the Centre of Technologies and Systems, of UNINOVA. Her main research interests include Ergonomics and Health & Safety at work as well as Usability and Risk Analysis for work accidents. She has published over 30 scientific papers and book chapters, is a patent owner, and has been a member of several Scientific Conference Committees. She has coordinated and participated in several research projects both national and international. At her home university she supervises PhD and MSc theses in Industrial Engineering as well as the final projects of the “Safety and Hygiene at Work” certificate training course.
