Then he worked as a research fellow for the Information Storage Materials Laboratory at National University of Singapore. From 2002 to 2004, he was invited to be a researcher at Tohoku University by Japan Science and Technology Agency. He joined University of Science and Technology Beijing as a full professor since the end of 2004. He has been granted to be a Changjiang chair professor by MOE in 2005. He is also adjunct professor at Central-South University, Hangzhou Dianzi University and China Three Gorges University.

Prof. Jiang’s research works are concentrated in spin electronics, including current-perpendicular-to-plane giant magnetoresistance, spin transfer torque and perpendicular magnetized thin films. He has published over 170 refereed journal papers and three book chapters. He has been granted 12 patents, with another 10 patents pending.

Professor Yong Jiang handles review of manuscripts that are submitted under the following topics.

  • Nanoelectronics
  • Nanomagnetism and Nanodevices
  • Nanoscale Thin Films
  • Nanofabrication and Processing of Nanoscale Materials
  • Nanophysics
