EDITORS GUIDELINES

CSC Journals encourage scholars, researchers and academic professionals from different fields of research consortium to join our journals whether as editor or reviewer.

It is important to understand the role and responsibilities of each group of editors associated with the journal. Below we define editor role, their responsibilities and benefits & privileges they get after joining CSC Journals network of professionals.

Editor Role

CSC Journals strongly believe that the reason of its success is the Collective Efforts Strategies adopted by editorial board members of the journals. When a new editor joins, he get benefit from the journal work which is done by other editors. Similarly, other editorial members also expect to get benefit from newly appointed editors. They believe that with the addition of new editorial board member, the journal will get more importance especially in the universities and associations that are in editor's territory to get quality research papers while strengthening journal International reputation.

Editor Types

At CSC Journals, each journal has its editorial board hierarchy which may include:

Editor-in-Chief (EiC) - Manages and monitor overall activities of the journal including making recommendations to other editors, initiating peer-review by assigning manuscript to editors, recommending journal to libraries and conferences.

Managing Editor - Manages and monitor journal submission, peer-review and issue production activities. Supports production process from acceptance to publication, communicate issue deadlines to Editors, coordinates with Guest Editors on production of special issues, supports authors from submission to final publication process ensuring articles are typeset, corrected, and published in timely fashion.

Associate Editor-in-Chief (AEiC) - Our journals that cover a wide range of research topics rely on AEiCs to provide additional advice to editors. Associate editors may select reviewers (typically anonymous) for manuscripts and, once the reviews are returned, give their own report and review summary to help EiC in making the final decision.

Editorial Board Member (EBM) - EBMs mainly focus on conducting peer-review and journal promotion through library subscriptions and extensive call for papers circulations through universities, websites and mailing lists etc.


Editor Responsibilities

  • Determine and refine scopes and topics for the journal.
  • Collect and attract high quality papers to maintain quality standard.
  • Conduct peer-review for at least 2 papers per year.
  • Circulate Call for Papers to colleagues, academics and professional connections to secure timely publication of journal issues.
  • Invite editors to strengthen journal editorial board.
  • Actively promote the journal to libraries and research centers for possible subscription.
  • International marketing of the journals to authors, institutes/universities, conferences/seminars etc.
  • Recruit reviewers for the journal to conduct peer-review of assigned manuscripts.
  • Improve quality of peer-review process to improve journal impact factor.
  • Work to index journal in well-known indexers, databases and websites.
  • Timely communicate with CSC Journals and other associate editors.
  • Launch special issues for the journal highlighting latest topics.
  • Joint responsibility for marketing plans together with Publisher.
  • Implements marketing plans, using a combination of online, print and physical channels.
  • Increases the journal's profile using websites, social media and email communications.

Benefits and Privileges

  • Editor’s name and affiliation will be listed in the Journal’s website and each member will have a professional web page including his/her photo and information.
  • Editors can publish editorial notes in journal issues free of charge after getting acceptance from EiC.
  • Editors can publish their research as journal publication without paying APC.
  • Editors can become nominated for the “Editor’s Award”, which recognizes the outstanding support and role played in building International image of the journal.
  • Additional letters will be provided confirming editorial collaboration with CSC Journals in order for editors to improve their profile for academic purposes.
  • Editors will be invited to launch or participate in Special Issue.
  • Editors can also propose the benefit that they intend to get through their collaboration with the journal.

Application Selection Criteria

  • The applicant must hold a PhD degree with good professional position at accredited academic institution.
  • The applicant must have good experiences in his/her specific field of research.
  • Applicant must register electronically through CSC Journals website and submit all required information including contact information, field of interest, list of journal topics that he/she can cover, detailed CV, executive picture and level of contribution for the journal.
