ABOUT Dr. Supavich (Fone) Pengnate

Dr. Fone Pengnate is currently an Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems in the College of Business at North Dakota State University (NDSU). He received the M.S. degree in Internet and E-commerce from Assumption University, Bangkok, Thailand in 2004, and the M.S. degree in Information Systems and Operations Management from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2007. He completed the Ph.D. degree in Management Science and Information Systems from Oklahoma State University in 2013. He also holds two graduate certificates: Business Data Mining and SAS Predictive Modeling from OSU Spears School of Business. Prior to joining NDSU, he was on the faculty in the Department of Computing and New Media Technologies at the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point.

Dr. Pengnate’s research interests include e-commerce and mobile-technologies adoption, information visualization and interface design for interactive environments, users’ physiological responses, and data mining and business analytics. His work has been published in several journals such as International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction and Annals of Information Systems. He is a member of AIS, DSI and INFORMS. His paper in the area of text mining has been awarded the best conference paper at AMCIS 2014.
